I, probably like some of you used to read a lot in my childhood and early teens. I remember reading a 250-page book on a random Tuesday, during my summer vacation. However, this passion of mine faded away in time, and I stopped reading almost completely.

From 7yo to 17yo I was reading daily. In the following years, I only read 4–5 books per year. This all changed at the beginning of 2021(when I realized I was 25 and I had to make some changes). There is not a simple way to explain this but I’ll further tell how I managed to take action and turn things in my favor.

FICTION

  • Yasar Kemal — Ince Memed 1

This one is the first volume of a series called Ince Memed (Slim Memed). Classical Turkish literature, I read it since it’s a Turkish Classic. It didn’t age so well imo though (the relations and the dynamics between the characters). However, the language of the author is rich and his level of description in detail is amazing. It is a revenge story of a farm boy who goes Django.
